My day off is supossed to be the day I do not have to go into work, don't have to smile at customers and don't have to peddle Health food and supplements. My day off is the day that I can actually create some Art, sleep, and not get out of my pajamas if I choose.

Well since I gave my boss' husband my email (no phone, makes for a quit house) he emails me when someone is sick to see if I will come in. Normally I do not care since it is extra money for me to work. But heck if I wasn't all geared up to create some Art or write and that stupid email is sitting in my box. She is sick all the time and whenever I happen to be sick it is the end of the world. I work while sick, if I am not doubled over or hacking my brains out or otherwise too ill to stand or be seen by people you better beleive I am there working.

I worked with a Brown Recluse bite on my leg and other wounds that were much the same taking weeks to fully heal, I talked to costumers while I had a infected tonsil the size of a walnut disturbing my breathing. I worked through low blood suger so many times I forget the number. I worked while awake more than 24 hours and starting to hallucinate. I worked through Broncitis, that kept everyone else home, and hives that made me look like I had the pox.

The last time I was to the doctor I was there because a small would on the top of my foot had gotten infected and turned to blood posioning (by the two streaks leading away from the wound) I went into work to get some herbs to help but was sent to the hospital instead. There I checked in, waited three hours to be seen, was seen by a PA my age and kept waiting more than another hour before I was given a IV of pennicillian to fight the infection. Then I got a precription for Amoxicillion which cost only $10 . My visit's bill was just over 1,100. So I really do not like doctor visits.

I can think of many things I would do today.... Perhaps it is guilt, or loyalty..... I think I won't go in today, they will have to make due. I'll act like I never seen the message if I have to. My throat is sore and I do not feel like helping people today. Guess I am a bad person.

EDIT: I later sold myself out and went in at 2:00 ...guilt and all. Have to work mine and the early shift both Fri and Sat and All day Monday too. Alice is sick, but good enough to travel for the weekend..??? Stupid job!
